GAULINETTA

Designed by Oscar Tusquets in 1987 and inspired by Antonio Gaudí and Carlo Mollino, the Gaulino chair paired a contoured wooden frame with slender, tapering legs and smooth leather. The Gaulinetta is its evolution, reduced armrests for a sleeker frame that tucks easily under a table, suited to smaller dining spaces. As Tusquets explained, "In homage to Enzo Mari, who called his chair Tonietta, a derivative of Thonet, I've called this chair Gaulinetta, after the Gaulino." The wood used in this piece is FSC certified.
